Egret Bay Launch

        This launch is located on one of the tributaries of Clear Lake in the Southeast portion of the Houston metropolitan area around 30 miles South of downtown Houston.  The launch here is excellent for any vehicle.  The three ramps are nice and at a perfect angle to get the ski or boat in the water quick without the need of backing your vehicle halfway in the water.  There are several picnic tables and a small place to beach the skis when the water is down.  Around 7 or 8 skis can fit in this area.

       If you come to this launch plan on getting there no later than 10:00 a.m.  The parking lot fills up pretty quick as it is small.  There is also parking under the bridge which is great if you are doing tuning and testing so you can work in the shade.  This is where we come to test because it has a great testing strip that has the perfect ripple to the water and is around a 1.5 mile straight run.  You also have access from here to the main portion of Clear Lake (around a 15 minute ride), Galveston Bay (25 min. ride) and Taylor Lake (25 min. ride).
