My Garage Project
Well we just moved into a new house (to us) at the beginning of November 2005.
Since we will probably be here a while I decided to do the garage. I've
always wanted a great home for my baby!!!!! It's been a PITA because I've
done 98% of it by myself but it is getting close to being done!!!! I've
already done our dining room to match the china and re-did the nursery for our
new son as well! Gonna
do a big project on the car (now in progress) before I put down the floor but I am going to tile
the floor. There is always great satisfaction in doing things yourself.
Enjoy!!!!
Upgrades to garage:
- Ran 220 line for
compressor. About 100' of conduit line underground, ~7' tunneled under
flagstone. Pulled 10/3 and 12/2 through it. Uggggg...
- Added 7 additional outlets
on walls, plus a 220 plug just in case. Compressor is hardwired and
placed in the attic. Had to pull flooring upstairs and hoist the
300-400 lb. compressor up.
- Ran about 150 ft. of 16 awg
speaker wire for in the garage and out on the patio in the back yard.
- Cable hook up for satellite
television and internet
- Insulated and sheet rocked.
Textured ceiling.
- Added 6 four foot shop
lights, four bulbs each
- Two ceiling fans
- Ran a little under 100' of
1/2" copper for airlines with two main drops and a main drain. Also
T'd off for a blow gun between benches. Put water
separators/regulators on the drops.
- Gladiator cabinets
- Crown moulding, chair rail,
and baseboard
- Painted the step up area
with Behr two part epoxy. Black in color. This is gonna show
dirt like a mo fo I bet.
- Tile is Armstrong VCT with
the feature strip going around perimeter.
