This event turned out far better than I could have imagined! It was my first time organizing such an event and I thought it would be nice to have Corvettes and Lightnings get together and have a crawfish boil. I asked for a minimum of a $15.00 donation and decided to give any surplus to the Tsunami Relief fund. Due to the generosity of the various forum members the surplus of funds rose up to $1080.72 ! Since this one went so well I certainly plan on having number 2 in the second crawfish season of the year. I have big plans for the next one that will include the following:
A new charity
Door and raffle items will be obtained from vendors
All surplus donations and monies collected from raffle tickets will be given to the charity
It will be a people's choice car show with awards for Corvettes and Lightnings
Will include a thank you letter that will give contact information of supporting vendors who donated.
Possibly a disc jockey for musical entertainment
