Painting Your Hoodliner
All of these installations are to be performed at your own risk!!!!
Well, if you have a lot of patience you can do this mod. I don't think it comes out "professional" looking but I guess it is good enough.
Supplies (these are the ones that I used):
Step 1:
Pull off your hoodliner retainers and place on side. You can get these off without breaking them. Just grip them and twist a little to separate from the liner and then pull. Once you have the liner off spray it with the Rustoleum flat black or BBQ paint. I used an entire can of flat and then switched to the BBQ and used an entire can. This liner soaks up a lot of paint. I probably could of used more.

Place your liner on a suitable work area.

Step 2:
Use a paint pen to paint your outline. You can start to color in here if you want to with the paint pen.

Step 3:
I didn't like the paint pens at all so I decided to try to continue this by using brushes and regular paint.

Now, one thing you may want to try that I didn't do is painting everything silver first. It took a lot of coats to get the end result that I got, probably around 20. It seemed to me that the liner doesn't soak up the silver as much for some reason. Not sure why, but it can hurt. You must wait for the paint to dry before applying the next coat so do this over a long period of time. Keep putting on coat after coat after coat after coat after coat until you are happy.

I used gloss paint so it looks like some spots were missed in these photos but trust me there are none. Good luck with your mod! But don't expect a professional result. The hoodliner material has a lot to do with this. I may try getting another and airbrushing it.
