Hurst Shifter
All of these installations are to be performed at your own risk!!!!

Step 9:
Now we are going to prep the Hurst shifter for install. Put a small amount of grease onto the ball of the Hurst shifter and place the cup you just took off of the stock shifter onto the Hurst shifter. It is easy to do this if you put the cup onto a workbench and push down on the cup with the shifter. It will snap into place.

Step 10:
Place your gasket that comes with the shifter onto the shifter housing. I sprayed a little Copper sealer on mine before I installed it. Install the shifter onto the housing making sure the cup goes into the selector properly. You must install the shifter with the notch in the shifter threads facing the rear of the vehicle. Use Loc-Tite blue on the bolts and tighten the shifter down with the four 3/16" hex key bolts and torque to 10 ft./lbs. Test out the shifter making sure it moves into every gear fully.

Step 11:
To adjust the stops you need to turn the stop screws all the way out until they are flush with the inside of the aluminum base. Pull the stick firmly into 2nd gear and hold securely. Turn rear stop screw in until head contacts stick, then back screw out 1/4 turn. Hold screw secure with a 3/16" hex key wrench and tighten jam nut using a 9/16" wrench. Repeat adjustment on forward stop screw. Push stick firmly into 3rd gear and hold securely. Turn front stop screw in until head contacts stick, then back screw out 1/4 turn. Hold screw secure with hex key wrench and tighten jam nut.

You're done! I like the factory spring settings so I did not change out the springs. If you want to change them there are detailed instructions that are provided with the shifter.
