Jet Pump Removal (for impeller install)

This installation is to be performed at your own risk!!!!

Here is a basic list of tools you will need:

First you need to remove the ride plate.

1.)  Disconnect the QSTS cable joint (trim adjuster) from the jet pump unit assembly by sliding the locking mechanism forward.

2.)  Disconnect the steering by using a 10 mm wrench or the right size hex socket.  Replace the nut and washers so you don't loose them.

3.)  Disconnect the hose with a flathead screwdriver that makes the stupid rooster tail.  It is located on the top of the pump.  Cap it off if you want or just cut the hose and voila, no more rooster tail.  Unless you like it.

4.)  Cut wire tie and disconnect the bilge hose located on the left side of the pump.

5.)  Remove the four outermost 14 mm bolts and pull the jet pump assembly straight back until the driveshaft clears the ski.  Heat up each of the  bolts before removal.  The type of torch I use is below.
