Cartek line lock
All of these installations are to be performed at your own risk!!!!
Step 5 (Drilling for Switch and LED Indicator):
Figure out the spot you want the switch and drill a small pilot hole. Now take a 3/8" drill bit and hog it out a little at a time until you get the right diameter. Be careful not to break the plastic if you are doing this where I mounted my switch. It is a very tight fit in this area and I could easily see the plastic breaking. Drill the next hole for the (optional) LED light to let you know if the line lock is on or off.

Step 6 (Running the Wires):
I ran both wires into the cabin through the grommet that the hood release cables go through. I did this because I wanted to ground the line lock inside the cabin area. You could probably do it somewhere under the hood if you choose. In any event, here is a digram of how I wired the unit:
Take the supplied extra wire and cut it in half. Extend the lines coming off of the solenoid and solder them with the extra wire. Use heat shrink tubing to protect the connections. I got the wire through the grommet by using a coat hanger and doing one line at a time. Now run your wire to your designated switch area. We will connect the wiring later.

Step 7 (Re-installing Removed Components):
Reinstall the alternator, replace the coolant tank and the drive belt. Now hook up the battery if you want to find an accessory line to hook power up to the switch. To do this just use a volt tester. I hooked the switch up to the cigarette lighter, the orange wire. Keep in mind this is a constant voltage wire and not an accessory wire. Since the Cartek kit has an on off button I chose this wire for its convenience. If you are going to use this wire, don't bother hooking your battery back up. Go ahead and finish your wiring at this point making sure to solder and heat shrink everything.
For my install, there is a good grounding location on the left side of the A/C and radio bracket. See pic below.

Connect your battery back up and install the fuse in the supplied inline fuse holder. I used a 5 amp fuse here. If you took your console apart to mount the switch make sure everything works before putting it back together. Once you verify it works go ahead and disconnect the battery again to put the remaining stuff back together. I say disconnect the battery because you will be messing with a series of plugs. It is your call if you want to or not.
TIP: Put the fuse in a place where it is accessible with the car back together. I hung it low underneath the carpet on the left side of the radio bezel. I can get to it if I need to by pulling the carpet down.
Grab some beer because you are done!
