LGM Long Tube Headers

All of these installations are to be performed at your own risk!!!!

 Step 2 (Removal of stock manifolds):

     Disconnect your negative battery cable with an 8mm socket and pull off the fuel rail covers.  These just simply pull straight up and out of the engine compartment.  Locate the air tube on each side of the engine that connects to the manifolds and remove the 2 10mm bolts on each one.  The driver's side will look a little different and will actually pull completely out of the engine compartment after releasing the plastic clip and pulling the hose off.  See below.

 

    Remove the 15mm bolt holding the oil dip stick bracket to the mainifold.  Give the dip stick a good tug and pull the dipstick out of the engine compartment.

 

    Remove the spark plug wires.  If you are going to reuse your stock wires, pull them out by the boot.  These wires will break very easily.  I am replacing mine so I just yanked away and in the process broke two of them, so you must be careful.  I found that they come out very easily using a very long needle nose pliers to pull with.
