NASA Road 1 Launch

        This launch is located on NASA Road 1 and is probably the biggest launch in the area combined with parking.  It is also the most family oriented because there is a park next door and there is also a place to rent jet skis if you need more.  This launch puts you in the middle of Clear Lake and gives access to Egret Bay, Taylor Lake and Galveston Bay from a centralized starting point.  From Houston you take I-45 South and take the NASA Road 1 exit and head East on NASA 1 for about 6-7 miles.

        There are two main ramps.  The larger ramp can probably fit 3-4 cars across at the same time and is also easier to launch at since the ramp is at a steeper angle.  The one on the left is not on as much an angle so unless you have a long trailer or a high vehicle I would not suggest this one.

        There is also a park next door that you can go to with kids and such.
